ART & CRAFT ON THE COAST

Art and craft markets are held on the Gold Coast at various beach front locations on Sundays from 8 till 2.30 (all year round).

You can access information and a calendar of dates for the art and craft markets at the market web site www.artandcraft.com.au
Every Sunday somewhere on the Gold Coast a colourful market sets up over 150 stalls alongside one of the Coast’s stunning beaches.

Featuring a huge variety of locally made products such as souvenirs, ceramics, sculpture, plants, home grown produce pickles and preserves, candles, paintings, fashion, fresh flowers and so much more, you’ll find something unique and original on every  stall.

That’s because marketeers make the products they sell and are there each and every week, talking directly to their customers. They know what you want and they are there with the latest, cutting edge look long before it hits the shelves in the shops.

The first Sunday of the month the market is at Broadbeach in Kurrawa Park.
On the second Sunday it’s at Coolangatta all along Marine Parade.
On the third Sunday it’s back to Broadbeach.
On the last Sunday the market is held at Burleigh Heads on the Esplanade.

** If there are five Sundays in the month, a market will be held on the fourth Sunday at one of the locations.

The Broadbeach Art and Craft Markets offer a great family day out on the first and third Sunday of every month, all year round. Come down and spend a leisurely Sunday strolling around Kurrawa Park enjoying all of the sights that this beautiful location offers, right on the beach front in Broadbeach. Whether you are after hand made fashion, jewellery, homewares, skincare, toys, fresh produce or just something unique you won't find in the shops, there's sure to be a bargain for you.

Produce by the Pier is Southport’s new sustainable market. It will feature the best fresh, local, seasonal produce and products from local artisans and independent designers who work with reused, reworked and recycled materials.
Produce by the Pier showcases sustainable ideas, innovations and initiatives in a different way each fortnight, encouraging a more eco-friendly lifestyle.

Picture another perfect Saturday on the Gold Coast, the sun is shining and you’re enjoying a picnic of fresh bread, meats and salad.

That can be your reality thanks to the return of the Produce by the Pier market at Broadwater Parklands. It began earlier this year as a fortnightly event, but after closing for the winter months the market is back and now trading every Saturday from 8am to 2pm.

Celebrate the arrival of spring with seafood straight from the trawler and fresh, seasonal produce and products.

“Produce by the Pier is the perfect place to spend a sunny spring Saturday and we think the new later opening and closing times will better suit the leisurely lifestyle of our coastal community,” Market manager Ross Alexander said.

“The waterfront venue makes the Broadwater Parklands a dream location for an outdoor market – particularly during this time of year,” Mr Alexander added.

The market’s focus will still be on inspiring and creating community groundswell around sustainable, green living.
